Status: Game Jam finished 22nd March, but this is fairly complete already. I've got a lot of ideas how to extend the concept, but that's probably work for another release after the jam and I'll just try to balance this a bit more and fix any bugs.

How to play

Click through to the welcome and let's get started! Select:

  • Cosy for untimed with no opponents, Cosy ++ if you want more difficultly
  • Easy, Normal or Hard for opponents and different numbers of slices

You've got to cut that pizza to the number of slices in the Order.
The more evenly sliced, the better - make them as close to the same area as possible!

When you slice:

  • Green means the slice is just right
  • Orange means the slice is too big (hint maybe slice a bit of crust off?)
  • Red means the slice is too small... you might need to Bin this pizza!

When you are happy - if you've got some good slices - Send the pizza to bag the calories.

Each game lasts 2 mins.

Design and Development

This is my first game jams which was longer than 7 days. It feels like an enormous amount of time, even working a hour or so each evening. It's nice to have added the polish like the tutorial, different game modes, etc.

I just finished playing Darkside Detective which has the most amazing pixel art, and I knew, that despite a lack of talent, I had to pay respects to the ultra blocky graphics there. The foodie theme screams Overcooked, another of my favourite games.

I came across  Material Maker via a Youtube channel, which is a great way for a non-artist (worse, a coder) to think about creating textures and sprites.
